Four Cats and Two Dogs
In a small house near the edge of a forest lived four cats named Miu, Mun, Bong, and Xam. Each of them had a different personality. Miu was curious, Mun was lazy, Bong was gentle, and Xam was very intelligent.
Living in the same garden were two dogs named Vang and Dom. Vang was big but kind-hearted, while Dom was quick and loved running around everywhere.
At first, the four cats and the two dogs were not very close. The cats liked climbing trees and sleeping on the roof, while the dogs ran around the yard and barked loudly. Because of this, they usually stayed away from each other.
One day, a heavy rainstorm arrived. The water rose quickly and Bong’s nest on the tree began to tilt. Bong became frightened and cried for help. Hearing this, Vang ran under the tree to help catch Bong if she jumped down. Meanwhile, Dom ran off to call the other three cats.
Thanks to the help of the two dogs, Bong was safe. From that day on, the four cats realized that the two dogs were not scary at all—they were actually very kind.
After the rain, they began to play together in the garden. The cats climbed trees to watch from above, while the dogs ran around guarding the yard. If a mouse appeared, all six friends worked together to chase it away.
From then on, the little garden became happier than ever, because the four cats and the two dogs had become the best of friends.
