Excellent post. Thank you for educating people about the responsibility that they should have with their pets, and the perspective of the pets who are left behind. Breaks my heart! I have quite a few friends in rescue work and feel the same way that you do. I have fostered dogs and cats, and adopted sometimes as well. They add so much to our lives! Now I have a service dog and I can't imagine life without her and my cat.
