William had been struggling with a story he had been working on. He spent his days staring at his computer screen, unable to compose a single word, for weeks that felt like months. He was in need of inspiration but had no idea where to turn.

He made the decision to go to a park and sit in alone one afternoon. He experienced a thrill as he closed his eyes and let his thoughts to wander. His right foot was being licked by a little puppy. He turned to look for someone grabbing the puppy, but no one was visible.

When William took up the dog, he found himself grinning heartily. The adorable tiny furry creature appeared to be smiling and was also waggling its tail. He hadn't thought about anything outside his book in days, so it felt nice. He knew in his heart that he needed to take the puppy home as his next action.

William awoke the next instant. He was disappointed and irritated when he realized it was all only a dream. He was so desperate for it to be real. However, one benefit of this experience was that he now understood what he had to write—a tale in which dreams come true.

William was eager to get home and begin writing the novel. He had to stop at a dog shelter first though.
