Exploring the Philippines

For Sagittarians like me, who would disagree that babies born under this sign doesn’t love to travel? Roaming around the Philippine archipelago have become a vice for me and my girl friends. Due to my addiction in traveling, I influenced these girls to tag along with me and created a group of wanderers called “The Doratellas”. From the image above taken inside the Temple of Leah in Cebu, the cast is originally composed of (from left to right) Faye, yours truly, Heartleen, Cheryl and Maybelle.

There are time times that one of the original cast wasn’t able to come along for some reasons. Gladly, some of our common friends were also interested in joining us because they also want to unwind, get away from stress and pause for a break from a very busy work. The Doratellas’ escapades were usually on waterfalls, springs and serene beaches to go on swimming and snorkeling with a bonus of close encounters with sea creatures like fishes, whale sharks and tamed sting rays in the islands of the Visayas and Mindanao. We surely had a lot of fun in every trip we had that we never ceased planning for another momentous journey. Thus, a full bucket list is inevitable.

Aside from water explorations, the group also went to land tours where we were able to experience a very extreme 4x4 ride in Culili Point, Ilocos Norte. It was really amazing! We were shouting and screaming especially when we go down the slopes because it’s like you are in a roller coaster ride and you can’t explain how you feel.

The group also had the chance to visit the wind mills of Bangui, Ilocos Norte. When we had a short conversation from the locals, we were informed that the wind mills do not only reflect the grace of the Bangui Bay shoreline but are their source of electricity.

These are just some of our byahero adventures and the Doratellas are up for more! We are looking forward for an island hopping in Coron and explore the pristine beaches of Siquijor this 2018. Wanna join in our delightful travels?
