Thoughts about the importance of questioning things
When we see a person as someone "unique" we are precisely referring to the personality, because it is the actions, criteria and opinions that could differentiate an individual from others. When we are born we are like a big blank computer, which must be programmed and loaded with information that we will use whenever we need it with the sole purpose of living, doing what we like the most and what we know best. The difference is that at the beginning that information that enters our brain is decided by our parents, school, TV shows, and in short, other factors that have the power to influence our innocence.
In this world we have two main sources of information which are our own experiences and the experiences of others. Books, the internet, history, the TV and a good conversation (among others) represent the means that allow us to receive information about the experiences of others, that transfer of knowledge that gives us the opportunity to evolve. Thanks to the experiences of others, we can learn and benefit from their effort, their mistakes and successes, which allows us to gain time and put our focus and energy on moving forward, solving problems that are above those they have already solved.
The best way to improve that knowledge is to always question things. Questioning is the means through which we choose what information comes in and what information comes out, what information remains and what information to erase. While it is true that much of the information we unconsciously learn can be useful and that even when researching subjects it is inevitable to consult sources from the experiences of others, we will always end up making the final choice on what to believe and what not to believe, in other words, we are always the ones who can eliminate, reorganize and process our own information.
This research process derived from a simple but forceful “why” coming from us, will be the door that we will open to begin to live our own experiences. We should not accept everything as true until we prove it to ourselves because we never know when can be deceived, we should instead make our own choices about the content with which we will feed that organ so important for our subsistence, our brain.

Questioning beings out the matters which we dint think existed before. Raising new questions gets you closer to a complete understanding
I completely agree, understanding why things happen can only be achieved if we tend to use the question "why?".

I think its good to always ber investigating on various sites or ways and making your own choice blind trust in anyone or anyone site is always putting yourself at risk of making ill informed opinions
You are totally right with this one mate, blind trust is always dangerous.

that's my philosophy in life. Always question everything! That's why I ended up not believing in God, giving up meat, and quitting my previous life in London. =)
Hello @evecab :P
I bet the different weather between Panama and London was a huge change, do you prefer having a lot of sun rather than the typical London clouds?
oh yes ahahah huge difference =). The sun is much better for sure
Being curious is the path to being intelligent. Most people want the answers and solutions to their problems ( in general and sometimes in particular manner), but they don't know the questions. Others are afraid to ask.
I think the same, curiosity is what drives people to acquire new knowledge, and to become wiser. There are always new things to learn.
great post. keep inspiring, and questioning everything.
I think the best way of questioning things is by reading different sources of information and learning to have an open mind towards different perspectives, solutions and analysis.
When researching the crypto market there is a lot of confirmation bias and over-exuberance on r/Cryptocurrency and there is too much negativity and sensationalism in the mainstream media. To have a view that is the least biased and most factual/balanced I like to read feeds from investors, spectators on Reddit, the skeptics at Bloomberg, and Twitter feeds from the crypto startups, but also watch videos from the financial/tech industry to see what they are saying.
I also like to keep in open mind on investing and follow the Stock Market as well and invest on Robinhood. This not only keeps me open-minded towards other trends but makes me a better investor in crypto.
Great philosophical post, you have a really sharp mind and keen understanding of the world inward and out 😉
I think the approach you are describing towards crypto is very good. Base on your research, do you see current prices as a proper representation of the real value in the blockchain industry?
Thanks! I think current valuations are over priced - I actually talked about this in my latest blog post haha. I think the space is still speculative but I think in 3-4 years from now we will see a much more mature market and an overvalued market in the trillions. However, there will be usecases and business models at that time so pricing will be much more representative.
Wasn't it Socrates that was quoted as saying "I know that I know nothing." One of the wisest men in the world, we should always question things although I may regret saying that when my little man grows up and starts asking "why" haha.
Yes haha it was Socrates who said that :P, and even though he was very wise, he was probably right when saying that.
hahahaha well it might become something fun to explain how things work to a little fellow, and feeling happy as he gets smarter as time goes by.
So true, he is delayed due to living in an orphanage but since coming to live with us he is catching up fast, learning new things daily. It's so adorable to watch him develop and get excited about something new he has learnt. :D
