Can You Hit The Bull's Eye? (Can You Hit The Mark?)
Can you consistently hit a mark? If so, then you are in for some big fortunes ahead of you.
Because many people today are so obsessed with Sports and HITTING A MARK. Making businesses around Sports very lucrative.
For example Michael Jordan became a Billionaire because of playing basketball. Michael Jordan can consistently hit a mark by a basketball(shooting and scoring), he was paid a lot for it. Sure other skills are involved like passing, dribbling, team play and such but most importantly Michael can score and he score when it is badly needed.
Archers have to hit the bull's eye. Runners should hit a record speed, run below that and you will never even be considered to join a race. Bowlers should hit a certain angle, force and speed to effectively topple the bowling pins. In short no matter what sports you choose, you will be weighed and measured by how well you can CONSISTENTLY HIT A MARK.
Once in a while, because of the sheer number of tries, we may hit the bull's eye ourselves. Those times are called fluke.
We may not really notice this, but these things are actually STANDARDS. Closely related to RULES, LAWS and LIMITS.
If we are not actively participating in competitive sports are we not pressured to reach certain standards? Well, to be honest, we are all under pressure to conform or reach standards set by other people. For example, the nation we live in requires us to believe, uphold and fight for its "CONSTITUTION". A common citizen is thus under several sets of laws as he goes on with his day to day activities. When he goes to work for a company, there will be the company rules and regulations, join a fraternity and there will be its own set of rules, shop in a local store and he will be under the shop regulations, so forth and so on. Why? Why do we keep making rules? Why do we feel the need for rules? The answer is because we are a creature of ORDER.
We acknowledge as being a creature of ORDER even subconsciously. Even our body obey to the written code within our cells. Indeed we are the children of laws and orders. It is inescapable.
Which brings us to the heart of our topic.
If we cannot escape rules, laws and DNA codes. WHO SHOULD SET THEM? Who should set the rules?
Go to the nearest mirror you can find. Then ask this to yourself. Who should set the rules in my life? Look into your eyes. Repeat the question several times. Try to answer it too, just by thinking. Try to convince yourself that your answer is right by presenting proofs and reasons.
Who is your final answer? UN pres? US pres? The R.C. Pope? The local police? The population? Your idol? The bankers? Your father? The guy next door? Your loved one? Yourself? Which of these would you like to set the rules?
One of the RULE setters are the people who control the MONEY.
Did you have a hard time? Why? Is it because you cannot convince yourself on the correctness of your own answer?
I will offer an alternative: God should set the standards. But even this, is not easy. It maybe spoon feeding but it may prove to be hard to chew and swallow for many. It may even prove repulsive to some, depending on the level of values they hold.
Let me ease the pain. Let me rephrase that: IF GOD IS TRUE, THEN GOD SHOULD SET THE RULES. Why? What makes God competent to the task of setting the standards for us?
a. He has the wisdom - As I mentioned before the best person to supply a user's manual is the manufacturer. As the creator of mankind, God knows our limits, He knows every bit of details that is needed to be considered in our every thoughts and actions. He knows the effects of every kind of situation to our being.
b. He has the experience - Being the only one who have lived from time immemorial, God has the experience about living, that we can never hope to understand. While the oldest man is about 120 years old, but age is not even a proof that he learned anything good to impart to his fellowmen, because many people just resist "growing up".
c. He has the power - Every kind and form of power. That's how powerful the God is. He is the only one who can successfully enforce any law, that He chooses to enforce. At the right time, in the right amount. While man struggle to keep up with the growing crimes and piling cases.
d. He has the concern. To create man in such a special manner, to guide man to the proper way of living and to keep watching man, all show concern from God. Laws can only be properly implemented, if the enforcer is concerned for the welfare of those who should be under them. Else we will only suffer tyranny.
So while many people choose to be under the rule of his fellow men, who actually have no clue, competence, capacity nor care for other people. We should choose God to set the rules for our life. In doing so, we will be able to learn from HIM, who knows everything. It is not easy, but it's all worth it. This is the MARK THAT IS WORTH HITTING in order to earn, not just money - BUT LIFE.
Next time we will have some fun comparing human laws and God's laws. Or God's way against human way.

In case you liked what you so far have read, I invite you to read similar posts that I made at: https://steemit.com/@easteagle13 , don't forget to upvote. It is inspiring to know someone do appreciate what I can share. Thank you.
Clicking on your link doesn't work, because it incorporated the comma. Don't know if that is your fault, or the interface, since this is my first post. Here, I will try inserting your link: with a comma https://steemit.com/@easteagle13, and without: https://steemit.com/@easteagle13
Interestingly, only the one with the comma was made automatically into a hyperlink.
What if I try inserting the link with no punctuation, and make it the only link in the post?

Ah, that worked.
Thanks for the heads-up. Much appreciated.
