RE: Awkwardness, Loneliness, Discomfort: Where is The Source of Social Anxiety? (A Mindfulness Exercise)

Bang Bang Mr. Sokol! Always precise with the words... Like you posts! I've been feeling a lot anxious lately. I've been trying meditation. Not much success to find the nirvana. But facing that patience is an effort. Have you ever tried meditate?

Oh yeah meditation is a huge part of my life. I began my practice early in college after reading a book about it... so almost a decade ago now. I try to do at least once, preferably twice per day, with each session being 10-20 minutes long.

And occasionally I'll do a long guided meditation like 30 45 or even a full hour one time! Those are really difficult but rewarding.

Meditation is the best thing ever! I hope I will keep doing it for my whole life.

How long have you been meditating for? Whats your practice right now?

Hey Matt... Well, ups and downs on this journey. But I believed the maximum time I did was 3 months 15 minutes every day, non-stop. I do guide meditation now, 'cause my mind still behaves like a wet frog on the bathroom jumping and slipping all the time. I use an application named headspace and also a playlist of guided meditation on Spotify.

headspace is cool, 15 minutes a day is good, keep it up!
