Many people focus mostly on enjoyment. Everyone wants to enjoy life, to engage in pleasure fulfillment of various kinds. All people are distracted by the pleasure trap. In the New Age movement, there is the pleasure trap of “feel-good” comfort that is desired as an inner state to be attained and sought after. This leads to believing in the need to follow your feelings at all times, trust only your feelings, etc. There is also the pleasure trap and obsession with emotions and avoidance of the negatives through outright denial of truth that isn’t what people want to hear. They use many dismissive tactics to avoid facing the truth.

Of course this is encouraged by those exploiting us. If everyone is focused on their own immediate gratification, they will choose not to pay attention to the wrongs being committed around them to their neighbors. Don't worry, this (insert beer) is waiting while the game, the quick hookup, the (insert quick cheap thrill) is ready to drug you up and make it all better (for a few hours).
My bad life isn't the result of my choices, that idea is oppressive. My agency is only real when it produces pleasure.

@krnel you said it. All around the social media i am seeing people falling pray to this pleasure trap. In my office, vicinity everybody i observe trapped people waiting for weekends on Monday
Yup, go party, drink, have fun, go on adventures... but where is the devotion to seeking truth and morality in life to make a "heaven" on earth?
So we have seen a move from taking up your cross and bearing the burdens of life...to avoiding pain and only enjoying the pleasures of feel good emotions in life. Wow! No wonder there are wimps out there. That explains a lot. Thanks @krnel

This is just the new world order and the true reality of things along side the fundamentals to a life of pleasure has been eroded by the show casing of pleasurable acts and life style which has entrapped the attainment of living souls.
Indeed. It's escapism to keep us from attaining a higher purpose that produces more moral living.
i am fighting multiple sclerosis 8 years now.......my most pleasury moment every day is when i woke up every morning and realize that i can walking for one more day....
