What a fantastic topic for a post - It's pretty much the Zenith of the sociology syllabus I've taught for the last 18 years.
I suggest we get utterly tanked in Bghm and discuss it further!

wow, I just lost some of my evening on the cave troll shenanigans, it had passed me by (not the cave-troll himself, but the organised resistance) - wow this place is endlessly interesting! I don't feel the need to jump in myself, downvoting feels like a really harsh thing to do - it does raise the question of what I would flag, I mean it's there, I should be prepared to use it - I don't really want to find out the answer to this question :)
I look forward to further discussions (I don't do "utterly tanked" any more, but don't let me stop you!)
Thanks for looking @ the cave troll thing - I'm trying to 'flag' it up to as many people as possible.
Personally I'm thinking of delegating 80% of my SP to FTG rather than doing the flagging myself.
I thought you might have picked up on the 'tanked' reference viz the objective reality issue - We both understand what 'tanked' means, but that shared understanding has little to do with 'objective' reality (I think)... although I'm not a phenomenologist, just for the record.
heh! yep, we'll be tanked even without being tanked, I'm really looking forward to it.
