Log Thots 2: Buzzwords
This is an analysis of a blog by ThotRevulsion(a nickname I have for someone with many sock accounts). Source material is linked for context.
Trendy and manipulative vocabulary to watch out for because they perpetuate and solidify mental prisons.
Manipulative vocabulary? Okay, so we have Thot trying to word police us. Let’s take a look at the latest regulations he is passing.
1. Anything regarding individualism or the self. The Power Within. Look Within. The power was within you all the time. (All absolute fucking bullshit, overly simplistic and nonsensical. Reality is complicated and those terms are nothing but appealing to a new age religious belief.)
Um… ANYTHING regarding individual or self? But isn’t that the smallest unit of society we can break things down into? That’s not simplistic, that’s precise. Meanwhile, the suggestion here is that only groups are worthy of discussion. That’s a rather edgy thing to suggest when race is the most common grouping for humans. Is Thot one of those race realists? Hmm. Interesting…
Oh, and tacking on the “Power Within” stuff to anything regarding individualism is a bit dishonest. The first is a wide concept, the second boils down to pseudo spirituality. They are only actually related in the mind of someone who doesn’t adequately understand either. Unfortunately, grouping together unrelated concepts seems to be a trend going forward.
2. Humanizing, human nature, humanity. (Taxonomy is not fact. This is just a branch of manipulation of a new age religious belief. Not really much different than any other excessively individualistic bullshit. We don't know what we are. There is no debate about it. Do not be manipulated by the want to pretend to know what we are.)
Ah, I see. Humans aren’t actually a thing. Forget that whole fact about humans being biologically distinguishable from other animals, to the point where even a child can distinguish a person from any other kind of animal. Forget the fact that humans are the only species that has developed technology to facilitate survival, far beyond any rudimentary tools that other animals use. No, Taxonomy has just been completely invalidated by Thot here in a single paragraph.
But do you know what Taxonomy is? It’s a branch of science dealing with classification within various contexts. What is this list by Thot but an attempt to classify buzzwords used to manipulate the masses, in order to call out people who use them? Sounds like Thot just debunked his own list as factual with a point in his own list. That’s a rather hilarious self own.
3. Spiritualism. The soul. Anything about religion or other woo fuckery nonsense. (Another branch of the same manipulation factor, the want to know what we are, the self-affirming delusions. All of this is futile and the want to know what you are through self-affirmations are what the majority use to manipulate and gain attention or win a popularity contest.)
This is rather odd point to add, considering how religious Thot is. He talks quite a lot about non-material things, like how we are part of a system of tiered consciousness, each level reaching a new level of enlightenment. He’s made arguments trying to denihilize death from a materialistic perspective, insisting that matter only changes forms, so death is not permanent. He talks about the axioms of existence, or something like that, as he tries to claim both other religions and current scientific beliefs are bunk. All of that, in my mind, sounds like the formation of a cult, given the fact that he does not tolerate any questioning of these beliefs. He has complete faith in the truthfulness of his statements; is that not the essence of religious thought?
4. Political identity self-affirmations. (Just more of the same, except that it's new age religious beliefs while trying to pretend not to be the same as every other old religious belief and of course just more weaponized psychology in order to harness your attention for the purpose of greed and pettiness.)
This one I kinda agree with him on, at least on principle. Too much tribalism allows people to play with almost arbitrary categories to manipulate people. A perfect example of this is how we have the right previously trying to censor the left, and now we have the left trying to censor the right, all the while too many people are either unintentionally or intentionally ignorant of the hypocrisy.
Too bad he’s otherwise very outspoken on politics, jockeying for the political left on topics like the censorship of people he doesn’t like, the right to murder babies, and the undeniable fact that Orange Man is, of course… Bad.
5. Anytime there is reference to respecting opinions or agreeing to disagree. Any time that people claim they want to have a discussion or there needs to be a debate. (All of that is appealing to sports driven mentality brainwashing and the majority is addiction to lizard brains confrontation satiation. It's all addiction to different neurochemicals, no different than any other drug. Again, your attention is manipulated.)
Why tie these two things together? They are fundamentally opposite actions. I’ve never seen such oblivious double-think…
If people say they wish to respect opinions or agree to disagree, it means they DON’T want a debate. It’s not conceding that the other is equally true or valid, as that is impossible with mutually exclusive ideas. It’s saying that it isn’t worth trying to hash out in discussion, for whatever reason that might be. Maybe people are too entrenched, maybe the topic just isn’t that important… it varies.
Meanwhile, a debate or discussion is what you have when you are not willing to just disagree. It means you wish to defeat the other side’s ideas(a debate), or work through the conflicting ideas to arrive at a more unified, or at least better informed, position(a discussion). This is the opposite of just leaving the subject alone.
Holy crap. What an atrocity of a point Thot has attempted to make here. Does he not reread his own stuff to make sure he hasn’t blatantly contradicted himself? These two sentences were right next to each other.
6. Love. Light. Peace. Can't we all just get along? Coexist. (Love doesn't exist and it is being used as a weapon, a mythical or magical weapon, weaponized psychology. Bunch of fake as fuck love dealers. There is no coexisting. There is no peace. Divergence is upon us. Grow the fuck up.)
This is downright bizarre. Thot complains elsewhere that he is constantly beset by idiots and trolls that he wishes would leave him alone, but here complains that everyone is too interested in being friendly with each other. I feel like a broken record here, but these are contradictory positions, just like point 5. In fact, this borders on a rephrasing for half of point 5. You can’t make the assertion that debates where you argue the issues and combat the other side are pointless, and then claim that trying to get along is also pointless.
This blog on manipulative language is just… my word. What an absolute insane notion to suggest that multiple general topics and ideas are off limits. To review, we can conclude that Thot is, by his own declaration, fundamentally against the following:
Individuality
Humanity
Any and all forms of Taxonomy
Religion(except Thot’s own religion)
All politics(with the exception of far left politics he agrees with)
Having a debate or discussion with someone
Not having a debate or discussion with someone
Love
Light
Peace
You heard it here first, folks. Thot is pro-war, pro-racism, pro-darkness(?), pro-science denial, and against all of humanity. These are not positions I strawmanned him with, he voluntarily wrote a blog to declare this about himself. He specifically says that anyone referencing or defending things in this list are being manipulative, and should be opposed on principle, regardless of context...
...because they perpetuate and solidify mental prisons.
As unbelievable as that might sound, you can read it all right here, or over on the original blog that I linked.
But on the bright side, at least he got his ending hashtags under control this time.
