@uglysweater, I really appreciated the following line.

While some days I don't like myself momentarily for mistakes I make, I have ultimately learned to accept myself and be at peace with who I am.

I believe that there is a difference between being content with who you are versus what you do.

Who I am needs to be bigger than the actions of the day or those pesky mistakes. Who I am drives my purpose in life.

My faith tells me that I am a new creation, and I need to live that way even though the old man keeps popping up.
