Shrub Violet Plant

This plant is called Shrub Violet. It is a beautiful flowering plant that usually grows as a small bushy shrub. Its flowers are colorful — mostly purple or light violet in shade. In different parts of Bangladesh, it is planted for decoration purposes, especially along garden fences and in shaded areas where it is commonly seen.

It is a shrub-type plant and grows to a medium size, with a height ranging from 1 to 1.5 centimeters. The leaves are oval, dark green, smooth, and medium-sized. The flowers are usually tubular, either solitary or in clusters, and purple in color. It blooms mostly during the winter season, and a large number of flowers appear from October to March.
