A beautiful Temple - Prem Mandir
Hello Everyone,
With my love for contests and the adventure they add in life, here is my entry to Smart photo contest where we have to click pictures with our phone. The theme for this week is - Building- can be temple, house, tall building etc. You can also check and participate here

My Entry - Temple
I visited the famous Prem Mandir located in Vrindavan,India in February and it was a pretty sight, I am posting its picture as my entry here. Although I had picture of Taj Mahal too, which is nice but I am feeling it might look too basic. I clicked all the shots with my Iphone7.
Prem Mandir is one of the largest temple in world which was built in 10 years time. It is dedicated to hindu gods - Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha.
Radha-Krisha are well known for their love bond, that is why their names are always spoken together. The word Prem is a Hindi word which means LOVE. Wherein the word Mandir means Temple. The temple is pretty sight from both inside and outside. The place is well crowded in the evening and there is no entry fee. My father and I guessed that the number of daily visitors would be around 50,000 per day.
There were multiple shots that I took since the temple changes it colors every one minute (I found the light works very exciting and beautiful).
Here are the other shots I took of the temple
In below images, you can see Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha sitting with each other. Surrounding them are Radha's friends called Gopi's in hindi language. These are 3D paintings inside the temple premises and they looked as beautiful as real.
Keep Calm and Steem On

Beautiful and so stunning with the different lights. With all those people, do they hold any special ceremonies or anything there or is it just like a monument?
They have continuous Bhajans going on there 24*7, 365 days. In Bhajan, they chant 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna' ( a mantra to sooth the soul), and they do it with holy music instrument.
They organize free food events once a while for the needys. A lot of good work in progress, the change of energy can be just felt in the air itself.
Interesting! Sounds like a very vibrant place!

Thanks for sharing these pictures!
It's interesting to learn about other cultures and religions. I like the different colors lighting up the temple, and the paintings are beautiful and colorful.
Good luck in this photo contest!
