I dont know if you already have been to Iceland but this country is magical. I traveled around the country a year back. Countless photo oportunities. I had to always remind myself to admire the beauty of this country with my own eyes not through the camera lens all the time.
I was ther at the time of no darkness, so I didnt see any northern lights but enjoying midnight sunset compensated this.
Iceland is still on my list, I am really determined to visit the iceland in autumn 2020 - already started to generate some savings. Thinking about iceland is like thinking about my place on earth - that is the reason why I am afraid to go there - if it will be as beautiful as I think - I will have big problems to leave it later... how to live somewhere else if there is so much beauty around, so many places to visit and still - so many spots and motives to explore, discover and gather.
Vikings had their Valhalla - I think Iceland will be my Valhalla ;). I am crossing my fingers to go there next year. Lonely car trippin around the island... my dream and goal for next year.
Iceland definitely is what you think. I was having a hard time leaving when going back on an airplane. Of course I was there only 12 days and it was a too short time. Going back there is definitely my goal again.
