Fishing Boats Vertical Pano

in #photofeed6 years ago

To end up with a high resolution, large print format size, I shot 4 horizontal photos progressively higher. Some times this works out and some times it does not. I got really lucky this time. For just a picture here on the web you could just crop a regular photo for about 90% of the way this looks. I'm amazed how well software stitches this together so well. In the not too distant past I might have taken the photo into photoshop to do the work. But now the feature is part of Lightroom. So it is really simple to do! I've toyed with the idea of getting one of those attachments to the tripod so that I could take this type of work to the next level; Doing 2 or more rows of photos instead of just a linear panorama.

I took this photo during the golden hour at Westport, Washington. One of the few remaining commercial fishing ports on the West Coast of the USA.
