Two Subdistricts in Aceh Flooded Soon today
Two sub-districts in Aceh Utara District, on Thursday (5/17/2018) were flooded. Both sub-districts are Matang Kuli and Tanah Luas sub-districts.
In Matang Kuli, the submerged villages are located in Alue Entok Village, West Tumpok, Hagu, Alue Thoe, Ceubrek Pirak, Lawang, Tanjung Haji Muda, Siren, Meuria and Parang Sikureung. Water height is more than one meter.
As a result, road access to Lawang Village and Alue Tho Village was paralyzed. However, residents remain at home.
While in Tanah Luas Subdistrict, the flooded area as high as 40 centimeters is located in Serba Jaman Baro Village, Tanjong Mesjid, and Meunasah Blang Village.
The flooding was caused by the overflowing of Keureuto River in the sub-district.
"We still survive in the location of the flood, because it is not too severe. Moreover, our house is rather high, "said a resident of Hagu Village, District Matang Kuli, North Aceh, Fakhruddin.
Kapolsek Tanah Luas, AKP Nurmansyah said, in addition to soaking houses, flooding also soaked 100 hectares of rice fields in Tanah Luas Subdistrict, North Aceh.
"Until now there has been no refugees. But we are alerting the police to evacuate the local people.
