Beautiful indeed!

What is the name of this beautiful lake?

Hello
@yintercept (:
Back in the 1930's a gentleman named Gove immigrated to this area and bought 250 acres of land that surrounded most of this lake..
So the local people such as myself call it Gove Lake.

Speaking of lakes and farmers. I recently read a fascinating story about a farmer named Thomas F. Sloan who purchased land on the South Golden Road just West of Denver in the 1860s. He intended to farm and raise cattle.

Legend tells that he decided to dig a well. The well flooded his ranch and South Golden Road. Folks in Denver had to use Colfax Avenue to get from Denver to Golden. His ranch is now known as Sloan's Lake.

I love historical tidbits, especially when they are about ordinary people.

@yintercept
I also very much like
Historical tibits...
There are a lot of old stone foundations/cellars holes very near me. I wish I knew more about them.
Thank You..

those clouds look a little scary like more snow coming

Really dramatic sky...great picture

It is beautiful but looks very cold, we finally warmed up here in Fl, the only place that can be freezing one day and hotter than heck the next. lol

That is lovely! I especially appreciate how you captured the blush on the clouds!

Looks like an awesome place!
