The Great Orme - Llandudno, Wales
The Great Orme at the western end of the Welsh town of Llandudno is an dramatic looking limestone headland that juts out into the Irish see at the mouth of the Conwy river.
The strange name of this craggy prominence comes from the old Norse word describing a Dragon or Sea Serpent. Imagine a thousand years ago, a Viking longship sailing along a misty welsh coast sights this shadow lurking in the mist.
It only takes a little imagination to see a dragon, even today.

Beautiful photos, think I need to add this to my places to visit. Looks very peaceful and relaxing, and if you want to see a dragon.
This is truly a wonderful place, an incredible walk to the top with lots of history from a medieval chapel to a bronze age mine, wildlife and amazing views. I'll be posting some images of a walk to the summit once I find them again.
Sounds like a great walk, and love getting to experience all of the history.
