Street Photography Art

in #photography8 years ago

In this blog I want to write about one of my favorite activities, which gives me a lot of joy.Street photography can be a lot of fun, if you will allow yourself to be more open minded to new ideas, and remember it doesn't have to be static and serious, don't forget you are out there o the streets shooting what ever you are shooting, try to relax and go with the flow...

Here I will share with you some of my works and some tips how to photograph on the street. One thing to remember, it doesn't matter what kind of equipment you've got, a lot of people who are just starting out get caught up with ideas that they need some kind of expensive equipment in order to start to photograph. Whatever you got around is good enough to start, even if it's your IPhone or any kind of camera etc.

So here you are, you got your camera, closed your door and you are out on the street what next? Well, this is where we start to play around, it has to be fun remember. First thing that I would suggest you is to be aware, try to feel the energy of the city, look to people in the eyes and try to capture the moments where you normally wouldn't pay attention to when you'd on street doing your own business. Don't hurry, don't be afraid to take pictures of people, can happen that they might be a little shocked of what you've just did, but mostly they will be happy and it will put the smile on their face as long as you do it in respectful way...

Try to shoot as much you can, but not just machine gun it, really try to check out your photos, look at your photos honestly but don't beat yourself down if they weren't in focus or where to dark etc. This is a process, try to take make couple of photos of one object, try to experiment change the angles, think what can you do to make the photo look better.

Don't expect to get amazing results right away, again this is a process more you shoot better you'll get, better you'll get much nicer photos you'll create. Do it regularly and you will definatelly get better results. try to carry your camera with you as often as possible, I understand it can be heavy but if more aware you become to the world around you more beautiful moments you'll see and you will picture this moments in your had, how would this moment look like on the photo. That's a good exercise as well by the way.

To finish this article, try to enjoy the process, doesn't matter if you are planning to become world famous photographer or you are just looking for a hobby, this is an amazing activity which I hope will bring joy to you as well as it does to me and plus you can make a lot of new friends as well, just take someones photo somewhere on the street and show it to them you'll be surprised how open and friendly most people are going to be....
