Walk Around the Village

in #photography22 days ago

It's spring here in the Southern hemisphere, but winter is not keen to leave our shores! Many days start sunny with the promise of a real spring day, but then along come clouds and blustery, icy winds!
That does not stop me from exploring my new surroundings though.
I now live in a secure estate, getting in and out is not easy without the residents providing access codes, so I feel very safe. The speed limit inside the village is 25 km per hour, and yes, they do speed trapping! The internal roads are quiet with the slow-moving traffic, some up and down hills, and the gardens are beautifully kept. I see the odd resident getting around in golf carts, but most still lead busy lives and use their cars. I decided to keep mine, even though there is a bus and a privately operated transport service. A girl needs her independence while she's able! I will make use of the bus for longer distances.

Le Domaine was initially designed for the active over-fifties, but is now open to buyers of all ages. This model of the original village, done twenty-one years ago, is on display in the beautiful and well-appointed clubhouse.
