Melissani Cave or Melissani Lake, additionally Melisani is a give in situated on the island of Kefalonia, northwest of Sami, around 5 km SE of Agia Efthymia, NE of Argostoli and NW of Poros. The Ionian Sea deceives the east with the Strait of Ithaca. Backwoods encompasses the surrender and the mountain incline is toward the west. Close to the surrender is the section to the give in with parking areas and is passed nearly amidst the principle street connecting Sami and Agia Efimia particularly toward the northern piece of the island.

In Greek folklore, Melissani was the Cave of the Nymphs. It includes a lake encompassed with trees and timberland, and is found east of the mountains of Evmorfia and Agia Dynati. Tourism is normal.

The lake's base is secured with stones. Plants develop at the opening of the give in. The shade of the stone close to the opening is stucco to nectar like dark colored.

The give in was rediscovered in 1951 by Giannis Petrocheilos.
