Wildnesday #1 / Five Images From My Portfolio

in #photography9 years ago

Texture.jpg

This is a combination of two photographs. A portrait of my dog Sulley who I rescued in India and a landscape of the beach in Goa where he grew up with me, my wife and other rescue Bella. The image was created for a project exploring textures.

This amazingly preserved abandoned Railway Station in the Malaysian jungle was once occupied by Japanese soldiers during WW2. Incredibly in the various drawers we found letters, documents and railway records dating back to the 1930's. We left it as we found it. It has survived this long, it would of been wrong to take a souvenir.

Scottish Independence was a movement driven by hope, so when the results back fired on those who supported it, like me, naturally all hope collapsed. I caught this heart breaking image of a young girl, whose dreams were broken by the result.

BUD.jpg

A nice macro shot of a wild lily in India. I've been wanting to share this but never found a suitable slot until now.

Sunset over the remote Sahayadri Mountains. Taken on a 4 day trek with my friend Leonard.
