A Domesticated Bird Cage - A great piece of Modern Art (not)
I found it to be odd and cool to see a bird nest (which I've been told to be only semi-completed) was an interesting sight. Normally I wouldn't care to take photos of random nice stuff. But I'm growing to love STEEM and what goes along with it. The people who owned it didn't even remember how they got it. Some speculation was that it was a half complete nest that was in their garden.
What's below is a flower vase. So basically we have a nest where flowers are meant to be. Here is where my thinking aspects come into play. Flowers are for Birds and Birds build the nests. Then the whole thing has been put in a human habitat. What if humans start keeping creations of other animals as decorations instead of the creations of nature like flowers.
I know I'm over thinking. But this is how modern art comes to be. It's a random something with a story behind it. Art is really just selling you a story. One could even make a dark narrative about this picture about humans taking control over the lives of other animals.
One could optionally frame it as: there were some birds building a cage and the people of the household loved birds. After they left, the humans kept the nest as a memento. They loved the birds with life more than the flowers.
But in reality it was just a bunch of unplanned random incidents :)
Good post!
