"Angel Falls"
The Angel Falls (Kerepakupai Vená, in Pemón, which means «jump from the deepest place It is the highest waterfall in the world, with a height of 979 m (807 m of uninterrupted fall), generated from the Auyantepuy. It is located in the Canaima National Park, in the state of Bolívar, Venezuela. A protected natural space, established as a National Park on June 12, 1962 and declared World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1994, it extends over an area of more than 30,000 km² (similar to the territorial extension of Belgium), to the border with Brazil and the territory of Essequibo (currently in reclamation). The name that is known internationally, Salto Angel, was suggested by a Venezuelan in honor of American aviator Jimmie Angel, who in 1937 collaborated more formally on the existence and exact location of the fall by flying over it in his plane and later perching on its peak, giving it worldwide repercussion. In the 21st century, she was one of the 28 finalists in the election of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
