RE: Selective Color Fun — Monochrome (ish) Monday (original photos)

in #photography7 years ago

Never messed with selective color, but it looks like a lot of fun. Do you do it in camera, or in photo edit? My camera has a feature, but don't think it will do this much editing. Which sort of answers my question, I guess.

It does add a real snap to the idea you are putting out. I love it. The house and backhoe is really fun too. I can fully relate, "Mom, why is that man lying in the road like that with his camera?" "Move along quickly Timmy, move along!"

Good luck in finishing up in school. Kind of gives me a stomach ache thinking about it ( : I think your stop sign image said it all. Classic.

Thanks!

Selective color isn't something I do very often. Actually, this is probably about the third time I've done it. My camera is pretty old (Canon 7D original), so it doesn't have many features. These were pretty easy to do in Lightroom, though. I just de-saturated every other color.

Ha, well... At least nobody called the cops on me this time! I was taking a photo of a huge monument near here and the local volleyball team called the cops. Apparently, they just assumed I wanted photos of them. Let me think, huge, cool statue of a German guy with a sword or a bunch of sweaty volleyball players... The police were apologetic and made the guy that parked in front of my tripod move.

Tomorrow's the last project, and then the hard part is finished!
