Backyard Wildlife: Hawk (Original Video)

in #photography7 years ago

This hawk sat in the tree watching my bird feeders for about 30 minutes. The hawk was anticipating being able to catch a meal, but not this day. As the hawk waited it seemed very content doing some grooming.

This hawk is likely a Cooper's Hawk but could be a Sharp-Shinned Hawk which is very similar.

Video taken on 12 December 2017.

Love this wildlife photography, really happy that you love it to shoot the wildlife birds here.

good post sir

wonderful natural beauty

Wow! So beautiful! I think the wildest animal living in my backyard is my pitbull terrier, hahaha. But to be fair, he's a sweetheart too.
I remember some months ago, a family of wild macaws came to live in one of our avocado trees, they were beautiful but they didn't stay long, I never saw them again. My dog was actually scared of them.
Nice video, I wish you a blessed new year <3

Happy New Year @etcmike.

Thank you!

My goal for the day is to post my Citizen Science report of my bird counts that I will turn into Cornell University's Lab of Ornithology. I am going through the pictures right now.

Stay tuned!
