Pure and sweet looking like the white summer solstice roses, but beware, she's got thorns too.

I finally found a couple old sets of pictures I have been looking for for ages! Apparently the only place I have stored them was my iPhone library, but at least they are a decent size and not some Instagram versions. I only have the jpeg versions, would have love to have these ins RAW and see what I could have done with editing these again. But oh well, no use crying over spilled milk, and I still like these.

These were shot back in the summer of 2016, when I was getting back to photography. My camera was dusting away in the corner for a good year at least before I found my passion for photography again. If I remember correctly, this was the time when I really started to pay more attention to everything in terms of technicality, composition and well, myself.

I shot quite a fair amount of self portraits during the spring and summer in 2016, but then when loosing light in the winter, and having that old camera, I lost interest again. I got the camera I use now, the Nikon D7200 in the spring of 2017, just before joining Steemit. That was when I really got back into photography because I didn't feel like my gear was holding me back anymore. I did update my lenses this spring, but still use the 35mm Nikkor too.

I'm trying to dig out some more of those old self portraits, and I know I have shared some of them already on my early days in here. I find it quite interesting to see what I have done, and where I am now.
