We Got International Air Mail

Today we got a visitor from abroad, arriving in a very untraditional way, considering our location surrounded by forests of central Finland. There is this tiny air strip in our neighbouring town, where no one even owns a plane, so there is almost never happening anything on this air strip. But today our guest got a lift from Hellsinki to here, by a little plane, don't ask me what the type it is.

We arrived early to the air strip so we could see them land, and were super surprised to see a plane already there when we parked the car. We were almost an hour early, so that was weird. We soon noticed that it wasn't our guest but another two-seater plane! Which I know is a Cessna, that much I listened. We chatted for a while with them and told that there will be another plane coming in a short while. We all had a good laugh about this being the most busiest this air strip has been in decades probably. They left and soon after that, our guest arrived in style.

The pilot just dropped him off and headed back to Hellsinki, he had to be there before sunset, it would be dangerous to fly in the dark. He texted us later and said he had arrived and it only took him a little over two hours, by car it would have taken about five hours. Pretty awesome to not waste half a day on a bus, but instead, fly with a private plane. Life goals over here for sure!
