Headless seal

Whilst walking along a local ocean beach earlier this week I came upon this rather distressing and unexpected scene.

When I got home I did some research. This has been seen before with the most likely explanation being the seal got too class to a ship with a large propelled and later washed ashore. Not something I want to find again.
