One of the Best years of my life so far #Part 7 July 2017

On first of July i visited the Zoo in Schmiding for some Animal Photography with my new Sigma 150-600mm lens. It was a very nice and warm day and as i have an annual pass for the Zoo i really needed to visit it for some shot with my new lens. The Light conditions where perfect this day, sun and slighetly cloudy, perfect wheater for some shot with animals and not to have harsh shadows but a natural softbox.

Testing my Sigma 150-600mm lens at the Zoo

As is just reacently bought my new Zoom lens for wildlifephotography i needed to try this lens for some shots at the Zoo. Because of the great zoom range you can really catch these nice details, that make the pictures really nice and interesting. Ther is this popular Quote i remember now that really seems to be true on a lot of pictures.

"if your pictures aren't good enough you're not close enough" -- Robert Capa

The Quote above tells me that this, one of my favorite pictures is nice and close and therefore so interesting for the viewer, because it is a very nice closeup and you normally don't see a parrot that close. People also like pictures of something that are done in a way they normally don't see in Reality.

Then next occation to test my 150-600mm lens was at the "Pflasterspektakel" in Linz, where i did a lot of pictures from artist performing nice stunts. I really loved the long lens this day because i could really get close to all the artists without them really noticing.
