I love the beautiful tile steps, and the stone work making up the roads. It adds a personal touch of beauty to the area.
I wish stonework like this was still as popular today as it was years ago. Maybe it is in some places, but not here. I should go out and take photo's of some of the cool stonework that is remaining in the area. Some of it exists in areas of dilapidation with drugs and gangs, so venturing would be risky business, but I know of a couple somewhat safe places where artistic masonry can be found.
I love the distance shot of El Caloso, Las Penas, El Remance, and Buenas Aires, with all those beautiful mountains. I can't help but to wonder why cities are built so dense when there is so much land, but then again, it's better on mother nature to keep it's natural state this way. Those mountains look so inviting.
Did you get to pet that friendly looking dog? He was looking very happy to see the beautiful presence of Akiroq <3
I find in general the majority of people here try to make things nicer for everyone. I see people putting out plants, sweeping the sidewalk, picking up trash. I also put out plants and hung planters from the bars in front of my window. I think it makes it look more lived-in and cozy.
Yeah, I love all the cobblestone roads around here, and the old buildings. It reminds me of my home city (which had the same things).
I think it's a great idea to take photographs of the stonework in your area. But be careful please.
I think people live clustered like that for the amenities. I myself, prefer to live a little away from everyone else. I also find the mountains so inviting!
No, I didn't pet the dog. I thought about it, but decided to just leave it in peace.
Haha, I think the dog was just happy I didn't make her/him move. Seemed to be enjoying laying there.
Besides, Orion would be so very jealous.
