The Kuala Lumpur Highland Games were hosted by the Selangor St. Andrew’s Society which is one of the oldest Loyal Societies in Malaysia, established in 1887. Membership comprises Scots, descendants of Scots and people who are interested in Scotland and Scottish culture.

The highland games were originally based around highlands athletics, although still central to the events the games have developed over the years. Now they represent a celebration of highland culture, music and dance, as well a great day out for the community. Highland games are now celebrated all over the world.
