Hunting

Hunting has always been rooted in the deep traditions of Moroccans. It currently gathers about 60,000 national hunters and nearly 2,500 foreign hunting tourists.

The right to hunt in Morocco belongs to the State, which may delegate the exercise under certain conditions.

The dominant hunting is that practiced in the territories open to all hunters is called banal hunt. It brings together some 25,000 hunters. However, in a concern of valorization of the hunting resources and the implication of the hunters in the direct management of the hunting territories, the HCEFLCD, supports and encourages the use of the hunt leased by the policy of amodiations of the right of hunt to associations or tourist hunting companies on the basis of specifications that define the actions and measures to be put in place for the hunting improvement of leased land.

The legislative and regulatory provisions governing hunting are based on the principle of the domaniality of the right of its exercise on all the lands and buildings rural whatever the legal nature.
