Harnessing the sun's energy, the old fashioned way!
After a 259kph wind, another typhoon is in the horizon, come friday or saturday.
Waking-up and glancing out to the street, our neighbours were seen patiently emptying and laying down numerous sacks of grains, to let them dry out under the sun. More often, it usually takes about 3 days out, depending on how matured the grains were during harvest.
Any vehicle can pass through mind, but ever since I can remember, the streets all around town have been used year after year to dry out the rice grains.

That's insane! hahah. So the drivers are careful to avoid crushing the grain? What well behaved and considerate drivers you have out there :)
Also I heard about they Typhoon. It's strange that S.E. Asia can withstand storms 2-3 times more powerful than the stuff that completely devastates the Caribbean!
Rubber can't touch them mate! But they do slow down when they pass-by.
Caribbeans are out in the open compared to scattered countries but near each other.
But don't for get the previous tsunami we have had few years back.

I was wondering what your street looked like with all the rice lying on it after you mentioned it previously.

They say it take about 2-3x before they're sent to the mill. From our terrace

Esperemos que muy pronto se puedan recuperar de todos los problemas causados por ese Tifón @immarojas. Y menos mal que toda esa cosecha de Arroz no se perdió ya que esa si seriá la catastrofe total
