[ENG-SPN] A lost hermitage in La Bureba / Una ermita perdida en la Bureba

Historians do not admit it, since there is no written and reliable documentation that confirms it, but the legends insist, with that candor not exempt from reality that popular beliefs always have, that this 13th century hermitage, located outside the walls of a certain town from the Bureba region of Burgos, originally belonged to the Knights of the Temple.

And it could be the case that Tradition was right, because in addition to the legends, its strange plant, being located on paths frequented by pilgrims and also, a short distance from a notable Sanctuary, that of Santa Casilda, it could well It may be the case that, at times, inside the mysterious warrior-monks or monks with spurs, as Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer liked to say, they had sung the chords of their main slogan: 'Not for us, Lord, not for us but for the Glory of your Name'.

Los historiadores no lo admiten, puesto que no hay documentación escrita y fehaciente que así lo confirme, pero las leyendas insisten, con ese candor no exento de realidad que tienen siempre las creencias populares, que esta ermita del siglo XIII, situada extramuros de cierto pueblo de la comarca burgalesa de la Bureba, perteneció en sus orígenes a los caballeros del Temple.

Y pudiera darse el caso de que la Tradición tuviera razón, pues además de las leyendas, de su extraña planta, de estar situada en caminos frecuentados por los peregrinos y además, a escasa distancia de un notable Santuario, el de Santa Casilda, bien pudiera darse el caso de que, en tiempos, en su interior los misteriosos monjes-guerreros o monjes con espuelas, como gustaba decir a Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, hubieran entonado los acordes de su consigna principal: ‘No para nosotros, Señor, no para nosotros sino para Gloria de tu Nombre'.
