Liloan Lighthouse: Bagacay Light Point
Hey steemians!
It's been a while since I've posted here.
Today, I'm going to feature about one of the visited place in Philippines specifically in the town of Liloan, Cebu. It is the called "The Light of the North."
It happens to be me and my group of friends is looking for a spot which is good for shooting a photo for our project. So we explore the north side beacon, the lighthouse is located in Barangay Catarman, Liloan Cebu.
We got there by riding a motorcycle which is an hour away to travel from the Highway.
The Parola or the lighthouse is the reason why the town was given the nickname “The Light of the North.” The lighthouse is situated on an elevated area in Barangay Catarman, Liloan overlooking the Mactan Channel.
It was built during the American period under the executive order issued by the first American governor-general of the Philippines, William Howard Taft. It started providing guidance to ships passing into the channel on April 1, 1905 and has continued to do so for over a hundred years. The Parola is managed by the Philippine Coast Guard and the light point flashes at five-second intervals.<<

The towering height of 72 feet
It is a good spot also to unwind because of the cool breeze of air and the place is kind of solemn. It's amazing that I've got to visit and have a little team adventure with my friends.
That's my entry for now. Gracias. 😊
Dios te bendiga todo el tiempo. (God bless you all the time).🙏😇
