Desperate Measures (photoshoot)
"Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit"
-B. K. S. Iyengar
This quote here made complete sense to me the other day, more so than other days.
After being bed-ridden for 2 full days with a bacterial infection, combined with what seemed like the 24-hour flu bug and all the nasty side effects of a strong dose of antibiotics, I was very much down-trodden. No matter what, getting better was NOT going to happen without syncing my spirit and mind with the body. And photography, exploring, thats my spirit. My soul. It's what keeps the beasts at bay. I know this, first hand. Do what you love and love what you do. But being in bed, at home sulking was not the solution. Getting out and exploring the city, shooting. Working on photography ideas was going to add to the spirit and mind health, and should be the turning point. So I hoped. So, I called up a friend, who is ironically sick as well, to where we both said "We need to get out"
So off we went.
One idea I was pondering was how to make both smoke grenades and steel wool more interesting and eye popping. Well, mix 'em!
Still need to perfect some things with this, but I was happy with this one.
Pushing onward! @terrywayne was the guest this evening, and when I ran into him, keeping him waiting as always(sorry man) he was in the middle of a shot set up. With enough time for me to join, I did. Not properly set up, using a small tripod, I set up anyway. LIGHT MAN!
Follow that up with the opposite, washed out SHADOW MAN!
This was ultimatly a very short evening. Both of us being sick, not wanting to travel far from home and not wanting to be out for long. This is also a very short blog. Because I'm still not well.
But I feel a shit-ton better than before shooting. Enjoy a few more, drop a comment, and keep yourselves well Steem!
By the way, dont go into sewers while sick. Nothing happened, but I'm sure it didn't help.
