Baby Jumping Spider
I was very fortunate to spot this little spiderling on the kitchen counter. It's nearly indistinguishable from a tiny bit of dust or flake of pepper. Above was mid-rescue as I carried it out of the house. Mostly just eyes and legs at this point!
With a ruler for scale, the spider is just about 2mm! Even at this size, it's capable of looking after itself, not much parental care here.
On the countertop where I first spotted it. The slightly translucent material makes the spider appear to be floating. It'll grow into those eyes soon!
A slightly older spider of the same species: Hasarius adansoni.
