Weekend long drive
This last week I had some friends visiting Muscat from Mumbai, so it was a busy week with them. I was taking them around and giving them the experience of my beautiful Country Oman. Everyone who visits here gets amazed with the quality of our roads and the infrastructure, and yet not a single road has a toll charge, which normally almost every Country has. Their itinerary was a mix of City tour and some long drive expeditions away from the city. I had to balance it because there were kids also. Though my friends wanted to do lot of excursions, but I know with kids it is not practical, so every alternate day we did long drive excursions and the other days keeping it light with city sightseeing.
On one of the days we visited the Sink hole and the Dayqah Dam, both of these places fall on the same route so it was best to do it together, though later I realized that it was too much for them. They are not used to long distance road travelling and they would get tired very fast.
Sharing some pictures from our drive through the mountains. I am in love with these landscapes, though they look all dry still there is some magic they hold.

For miles and miles we drive like this.

Our first stop was the sink hole and then the dam. I did not click many pictures at these places as I have already visited here couple of times and have loads of pictures.
This is the view from the Dam, it is worth the long drive

Almost the end of the journey, getting back home.

It was a tiring day but totally all worth it.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
