If you visit America, please do not leave until you have visited New Orleans.
It is a one of a kind city that doesn't really exist anywhere else in the world. (The atmosphere)
It is pretty close to Mardi Gras, which is a huge party celebration that lasts for an entire month almost! In New Orleans, you can drink on the streets!
The historic buildings are several hundreds of years old and preserved fairly well amidst the modern changes that have happened.

I've only been there once, I was a teenager and could not "participate".
Ate a lot of oysters and promised I would be back. Still have to do so.
