Abdul Rahman Saleh
Hari Radio Republik Indonesia diperingati setiap tanggal 11 September. Tokoh di baliknya adalah Abdul Rahman Saleh yang menjadi salah satu inisiator agar pemerintah mendirikan radio sebagai alat komunikasi dengan rakyat di tahun 1945. Radio dipilih sebagai alat komunikasi karena lebih cepat dan tidak mudah terputus saat pertempuran.
