I think you would have been fine... but totally understand. I got back 4 weeks ago, just before everything blew out of proportion. I'm heading back in September / October this year and then again in January / February next year.
Yeah, I would have probably been fine. That's about when I was supposed to go.
Now travel between Japan and Korea is very difficult.
I hope it is cleared up well before your trips and look forward to seeing what you get up to. I was supposed to go to kyushu for hot spring and sake festival, not sure what I will do in the fall. Maybe Ill try Nagoya or Nagano region. I prefer the smaller cities and especially rural areas.
