Nature's factories, an amazing design.

in #photography6 years ago

Interestingly, green plants feed the world be it directly or indirectly. But they can not simply function without the help of roots. There are millions of rootlets with it tip fitted with a protective cap rubricated with oil to enable them push their way through the soil. The root hairs behind the oily cap thus absorb water and minerals which are transported to all plant parts. In the leaves, amino acids and sugars are manufactured and are sent throughout the plants as well as roots.

Certain features of the circulatory system of trees and plants are so amazing that are often been regarded as being miraculous.
Both minerals and water from the soil are been transported by root pressure .Water molecules are thus held together by cohesion and as such water do evaporates from the leaves in a process called transpiration.

Billions of tons of water are recycled into the air, once again to fall as rain thus a perfectly designed system.
These leaves needs nitrates from the ground to make vital amino acids. Some amounts are put into the soil by lightning and by certain free bacteria.

Nitrogen compounds in adequate quantities are also formed by legume plants such as peas, groundnuts, clover, beans, soy beans, alfalfa etc.

They thus convert atmospheric nitrogen, convert carbohydrates with the aid of some bacteria from the soil and store it in usable form on root nodules of legumes. to be used up by subsequent crops.

Furthermore, plants take energy from the sun, carbon dioxide from the air, water from plant roots or soil to manufacture food (the process known as photosynthesis) and produce Oxygen.

This takes place in the plant cells. This all happens in their factories which are nonpolluting, producing Oxygen, recycling water and feeding the world. Truly, they are nature's factories and thus we should strive to preserve them as our survival depends on them. So let us contribute I saving this nature's factories.
Thanks for reading and taking action.
