Although the rustic bridge pictured is long gone, this is one of the areas now associated with the Dannemora prison escape a few years ago, as the escaped prisoners came through this area, where many different law enforcement agencies were conducting their intensive search. This is from a series of antique postcards that were sold locally in Adirondack hotels like the Mountain View House. I scanned this image from the original glass plate and added the sepia tone for shits and giggles.
