MondayRed - ColorChallenge - The plant that gets red leaves around Christmas

in #photography7 years ago

A few days ago I went to have lunch at one of my favourite vegetarian restaurants in Bucharest, Arome.

I had my Canon EOS 450D with me to play with in the restaurant setup.

Since it's Monday red I picked the pics with these plant that gets very popular around Christmas because her leaves turn red around this time of the year. Hence her name in Romanian is "Crăciunița" I don't know the equivalent in English :)

I don't know how this thing happens exactly on Christmas, it's a mystery to me.

Anyway, I hope you like these pics as much as I did taking them.

Great photographs! I have some of those plants in my house!:)

thanks! And do yours get red around Christmas time too? :)

Nice, when I lived in Costa Rica I saw some that were trees like 15 feet tall! I didn't know they got that big. In English it's "poinsettia" :)

Wow, I had no idea they can get this big.
Thank you for the info, now I now "poinsettia" :)
