Rural Observation

in #photography8 years ago

I recently moved up to a place called Windsor in North Carolina. The first three months after moving to this extremely rural area I noticed that the feral cat population is unusually high and decided to photograph them among some of other things here. Another thing I can't shake about this town is the feeling I've just stepped into 2006. The styles displayed in stores and even the music played on their one and only top hits radio station is dated at best. luckily these cats and sights have given me some escape from the obvious but sad decline of this rural area.

Really like the train tracks pic! When driving south on I-95 there are so many signs for Rocky Mount. It even makes a debut on the Wikipedia Interstate 95 page ;-)

Thank you! It's a cute little town, I've been meaning to go back to take more pictures of the historical homes there.

Nice to see
