Canna Lily: A Beautiful and Attractive Plant
Canna Lily, often called 'Sarvajaya' in Hindi or 'Banana Lily' due to its broad leaves, is a very popular and attractive plant that adorns gardens. It is known for its large, showy leaves and bright, colorful flowers.
Physical Characteristics
The most distinctive feature of the Canna Lily is its large leaves, which can be green, bronze, or striped with red and green. These leaves resemble banana leaves and give the space a tropical look. Its flowers bloom in shades of red, yellow, orange, pink, and variegated. These flowers appear in clusters at the top of the stem and attract attention from a distance.
How to Grow and Care
It is quite easy to grow it in your backyard or garden beds during the summer season.
Sunlight: Canna lilies require good sunlight. They bloom profusely and profusely when they receive at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
Soil and Fertilizer: Fertile, well-drained soil is best. Adding organic fertilizer or compost to the soil when planting promotes rapid growth.
Water: This plant requires regular watering, especially during hot summers. The soil should always remain slightly moist, but water should not accumulate near the roots.
