Indonesian Military
The military in Indonesia is called the Indonesian National Army (TNI). Previously known as the Armed Forces of the Republic of Indonesia (ABRI). TNI is divided into three main units, namely the army, navy and air force.
The TNI is headed by a TNI commander with a four-star rank. Currently since 8 December 2017 TNI commander held by Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, comes from the navy. Previously held by TNI General Gatot Nurmantyo from the army.
In this photo is during the preparation ceremony of welcoming President Joko Widodo to the city of Lhokseumawe, Aceh some time ago. The ceremony was led by Commander of Military Resort Command (Korem) Colonel Inf Ahmad Daniel Chardin. Daniel currently serves as Chief of Staff of Military Regional Command (Kodam) Iskandar Muda, Aceh with the rank of brigadier general.
