Under Construction
There's this principle in art criticism about creating a narrative, or telling some kind of story, which I think can be especially tricky in something like photography (outside of a studio setting, that is). Not only are construction sites constantly changing, therefore providing something new to shoot pretty much every day, but there's so many themes contained within them.
The passage of time, rebirth, progress, however one would want to look at it, there's a lot of interpretations to be expounded upon in these kinds of photos. Moreover, I feel like storytelling is much easier when you're shooting something in limbo or designed for activity and motion in a still state, seems like it speaks for itself. Maybe I'm just going for the low-hanging fruit here.
Great shots, they have something beautiful that's hard to achieve. Fantastic how they manage to draw the eye!
Thanks so much, that's great to hear...Always looking for constructive criticism!
