Beautiful Cliffs of Guernsey, Channel Islands - Photography and Art

I have been staying on the island of Guernsey these past few weeks as I am seeing family and escaping the New Zealand winter. Guernsey is one of the channel islands and is located within the English Channel and is the island where I was born.

One of my favourite areas of Guernsey is the beautiful south coast cliffs in which there are some amazing views. I have been doing cliffs walks here, out with my camera and getting photo reference for paintings. I thought I'd share some of my photos with you.

This is the view from Icart Point which in my opinion is one of the best views in the island.

This island of Guernsey has an area of 24 square miles so its not very big.

The cliffs exhibit very vibrant natural colours which is why I was out taking so many photos for potential oil paintings.

This is Moulin Huet, this view has been painted by the 19th century artist's Pierre-Auguste Renoir and William Trost Richards.

This view looks westwards along the cliffs and there is a footpath all the way along.

This is another view from Icart Point, there are some secluded beaches in the distance. I love this part of the island.

Another one of my favourite views, so much so that I decided to paint it recently.

And this was my recent oil painting that I finished a couple of weeks ago.
